Thin and soft verieties of tofu are deep fried in oil until they are light and airy in their core.
Cut in half and add to Asian soups or stews. Tofu puffs soak up the flavour of your dish like a sponge and make for a heartier dish. Slice and add to stirfries. The hollow centre also makes them ideal for stuffing with minced meat or vegetables. Panfry to cook the filling, and stirfry with desired sauce (black bean, teriyaki or oyster sauce) and serve as an appetizer or entrée
